Mike Braimbridge

Director & Principal Environmental Scientist
Mike is an Environmental Scientist with 25+ years' in both industry and government roles, throughout Western Australia. He has extensive experience in leading and coordinating EIA and environmental approvals for major infrastructure projects through state and federal environmental legislation pathways.
Mike has technical experience in field based/remote area vegetation and flora assessments for mining and infrastructure projects throughout the State. Mike has worked as a botanist since 1997, and has extensive experience in survey planning, field survey, taxonomy, analysis and reporting.
In addition, Mike possesses extensive skills and experience in technical assessments of water dependent ecosystems including risk assessment of water dependent ecosystems (groundwater dependent ecosystem and surface water systems) and determination of ecological water requirements throughout Western Australia. He has experience in water resource management throughout Western Australia, with expertise in the development of monitoring and management frameworks for water resource management. Having worked for over a decade in the state's water and environmental regulation agency prior to returning to consulting to establish Stream Environment and Water, Mike also has extensive knowledge and experience in water licensing, related water policy development and water planning from the Kimberley and Pilbara to the South West.

Jane Wilshaw
BSC (Hons), Botany and Marine Biology
Director & Principal Environmental Scientist
Jane is an Environmental Scientist and Ecologist with over 25 years' experience specialising in Natural Resource Management, Ecological Surveys and Environmental Impact assessment. Jane has technical experience in marine, estuarine, freshwater and terrestrial environments with specialist expertise in aquatic ecosystems, water quality monitoring, Carter's freshwater mussel surveys and translocations. Jane has extensive experience in flora and vegetation assessments throughout the southwest, Pilbara and Kimberley regions.
Since 1998 Jane has worked as an environmental consultant throughout Australia, specialising in federal and state environmental approvals, impact assessment, management and monitoring. Between 2015 and 2019 Jane worked at the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation developing science research and planning, monitoring water quality and co-ordinating an integrated ecological program for the Vasse Wonnerup Wetland system.
Jane has a high standard of reporting skills having written a diversity of environmental documentation including impact assessments, referrals, management and monitoring plans, translocation plans, permits and guidelines for federal government. Jane also possesses excellent communication skills having worked collaboratively with government agencies, universities and community groups in her professional career.
As the co-director and Principal of Stream Environment and Water Jane has been putting her experience in natural resource management and ecological systems to work for the benefit of our clients.

Christie Silva
BSc Environmental Biology (Biodiversity)
Senior Environmental Scientist
Christie is an Environmental Scientist with 15 years of experience working in government and industry, specialising in water resource assessment and management across Western Australia.
Christie has strong technical skills in hydrogeology, hydrology and ecological data assessment to support environmental risk, monitoring and evaluation of water resource projects. She has extensive experience in strategic water planning and development of water management frameworks. Christie also has extensive knowledge of Western Australian water policy and experience in water licensing.
Since joining Stream Christie has completed numerous flora and vegetation surveys and environmental impact assessments in the south west, Goldfields, Pilbara and Kimberley regions of Western Australia. Her field and report preparation skills are complemented by high level spatial analysis and GIS skills.
